I stopped meninstrating about four years ago. I didn’t really have a problem with hot flashes at that time. But it seems like here lately I am experiencing a lot of “fluxuation.” What I mean is I am extremely hot one minute and cold the next. It’s like my thermostat is off. Any suggestions what might be going on. I don’t see my gynocologist until August I thought I’d put this question out.

Every person is different.
For me…I started complete menopause at the age of 36 and I am now 45.
I still have hot flashes about 15 times a day, and each of them last about 90 seconds each. (and they only affect my neck and face)
not to make fun of your situation, but my mom is the same way, but she still has her period, it cracks me up the fact that one minute she has all the windows open in the house and its a blizzard outside, then the next she has the heat all cranked up and we are frying inside the house. my mom takes meds for high blood pressure and acid reflux and her doctor told her that she was having hot flushes due to the hormones increasing her blood pressure, but if you don’t have HBP, i dont know, i just wanted to let you know that i understand from second hand what you are going through,.
My wife had the hot flashes for a long time then she was put on hormone therapy for years, after reading how bad that was for her she is finally going to see a doctor Wednesday and I’m hoping she wont get put on hormones again. This seems to be a problem for lots of women.
